We're passsionate about inspiring future generations of musicians and helping them with the skills they will need for a life enhanced by music. That's why we love to bring Aire Street Recording on the Road to schools, academies, and conservatoires across the UK.

We've worked with teachers to align our courses to help you deliver across core curriculum requirements. Our session deliverables are broken down:

KEY STAGE 2

Play and perform solo and ensemble
Use voices and play instruments
Compose music for a range of purposes
Listen to a recall sounds
Use and understand musical notations e.g. chords
Appreciate high quality live / recorded music
Develop an understanding of the history of music

GCSE

Musical elements: pitch / tonality / structure / sonority / texture / tempo / dynamics
Musical context: purpose & intention, effect on audience
Musical language: reading & writing of staff notation / major & minor chords
Perform: musical elements / techniques to interpret and communicate ideas, perform with control using appropriate phrasing and dynamics
Compose: make use of musical elements / techniques and resources to develop musical ideas
Compose: music that develops musical ideas, uses conventions and explores structures and resources
Appraise: analyse and evaluate music in spoken / written form

KEY STAGE 3

Play and perform confidently solo and ensemble
Use voices (and play instruments) fluently and accurately
Compose music for a range of purposes drawing on a range of musical structures, styles, genres and traditions
Use / understand musical notations appropriately and accurately in a range of styles, genres and traditions
Identify / use the inter-related dimensions of music expressively and increasing sophistication, including use of tonalities, different types of scales
Listen with increasing discrimination to a wide range of music from great composers and musicians
Develop a deep understanding of music performed, listed to and its history
